My name is Diana, I'm an introverted artist with more than 16 years of experience.
The main thing I like to work on is in creating characters, it is by far the thing I enjoy the most. But my career is full of totally different paths, I worked in video games, in animated movies, illustrating books, inking comics for DC Comics, designing characters, making art and campaigns for marketing, etc and I loved to have had the opportunity of working in so many different things.
My father is one of the main reasons for following this career path. I was a very shy child that spent almost all the time at home and my father was always teaching me how to draw, buying me books and comics and letting me watch all kinds of movies and cartoons. Some of my favorites, and the ones that I think have influenced me the most, are Ducktales, Dragon Ball, Labyrinth or Dark Crystal. So I would like to believe that my actual artwork is inspired by all of these amazing images I keep on my mind from my childhood.
One of the best jobs I've ever had. I was in charge of developing the style and personalities of the characters for a game that was just starting its development.
I had total freedom and could propose whatever crazy ideas I had in mind.
Eventually I do inks DC Comics.
I have inked pages for: Emperor Aquaman, Smallville, Smallville Effigy, Masters of the Universe and Injustice. Recently inks for Wonder Woman #51 and #52, Teen Titans, Nightwing and Detective Comics.
During the first year at the company I worked directly with the Lead Character Designer creating part of the animation bible. Making new characters and expressions mainly for the "Angry Birds Toons" series and the "Angry Birds Star Wars" trailer.
The second year was entirely dedicated to working on proposals for various game prototypes.
I had the privilege of participating by inking the map of Grayskull castle and some of the characters for the art book THE ART OF HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE HC
At Social Point I did a bit of everything. I started working on prototypes as a concept artist making all kinds of assets for games.
At the same time I worked redesigning some of the main dragons of the game “Dragon City” and designing new ones.
And finally I worked in the marketing department making all kinds of banners, icons and assets for the marketing campaigns.
As marketing lead artist, in addition to managing the art team and dealing with clients, I was also in charge of producing part of the assets needed for the marketing campaigns.
